Anne Inskip | Consultant & Project Manager
Anne is an experienced consultant and project manager with 15 years of expertise in managing historic house visitor attractions. She has developed her skills through the guidance of The National Trust and Castle Howard. Her professional journey has involved collaborating with numerous staff members to understand their needs and preferences and engaging with thousands of visitors to meet their expectations.
The role of an Operations Manager is multifaceted, demanding diverse skills and knowledge. Anne is a specialist in versatility, having worked on community projects with organisations like Mencap and the Stroke Association, including all press and PR activities, to tackling mystery visitor recommendations for various National Trust properties in the North.
More recently, Anne has gained further experience in effectively managing operations at Castle Howard. She is IOSH certified and has extensive expertise in risk assessment and Health and Safety policies. She is an experienced project manager, leading the planning and delivery of Castle Howard’s flagship Christmas event, as well as organising large events and concerts. A strategic thinker with experience in devising strategies to increase volunteer numbers and enhance engagement, Anne also knows how to motivate teams to drive sales and income. Given the physical challenges historic properties can pose for some visitors, Anne collaborates with teams to devise practical solutions to overcome these issues.
Her approach emphasises creativity to ensure visitors have a rewarding experience, create compelling narratives, and foster a deep connection between staff and the unique nature of the site. Ultimately, Anne’s passion lies in helping sites become places visitors and volunteers want to return to.
